about me

Hi Everyone!  

My name is Debra, but I prefer Deb. I am from Orange County, California, right in between Disneyland and the beach, but I currently live outside Indianapolis after spending almost 15 years in Las Vegas.  I am currently working on moving back home because I miss the West Coast immensely.  Hopefully, it’s sooner rather than later. I have worked in the mortgage industry for the last eight years and was in local and state security for 15 years prior.  I am studying for my B.S. in Cyber and Data Security Technology with an emphasis in AI.  I am also interested in eventually studying IT. 

 

My knowledge of computer applications and programming is limited to what I was exposed to at my current and previous jobs and my own curiosity.  My lack of experience makes me think I will be starting my studies at a disadvantage but learning about cyber security is something that has interested me for years.  I aim to enter cybersecurity and continue learning various computer applications and programming.  I believe the more I know, the more I will succeed.

 

I am also in the process of creating a tech group that can meet in person and online so we can support each other in our goals to learn cybersecurity, IT, and AI.
